Botto has recently launched a new VP Delegation Program designed to broaden its community of curators and diversify the taste that trains it, inviting new participants to take part in weekly voting.
A quick recap for anyone who hasn't come across Botto:
Botto is a decentralised autonomous artist. Each week it generates thousands of images, or ‘fragments’, narrows them down, and puts forward a final selection to its community of stewards who vote on, or ‘curate’, the fragments they think are strongest.
At the end of the weekly cycle, the highest voted fragment is minted and auctioned. Over time the community’s votes shape Botto's taste and direction.
Until now, voting required owning and staking $BOTTO tokens.
The new delegation program changes this.
Large $BOTTO holders can now lend their unused voting power to a voting group, so members of that group can vote on Botto's artworks without buying or holding any tokens themselves.
In short: you can now help shape the direction of an autonomous AI artist, with no buy-in required.
Over time curators earn rewards in $BOTTO, in proportion to the VP they spend, which can be held, traded, or staked, allowing you to build your own position in Botto's ecosystem over time.
Established communities are already participating in our pilot, including 100 Collectors and Heft.
➡️ There are currently some open voting groups, where anyone can use their wallet or email to join and receive 10,000 voting points (VP) to use to curate Botto’s artworks. ⬅️
We would be delighted to see members of RCS’s community join Botto’s ecosystem as curators. Botto's taste is shaped collectively, so a wider, richer range of curators means a richer artist.
