In a movement that is still so young, working with even younger media, what would you call a classic in the digital art sense?
When it comes to art history books, my brain immediately goes to titles like The Story of Art by E.H. Gombrich, ...isms, What Makes a Masterpiece, and so on.
When it comes to Impressionism, I think of Monet’s water lilies.
So what are the equivalents for digital art?
Which works, texts, projects, or artists already feel foundational enough to be called classics?
