Alejandro Cartagena is an artist and curator that lives and works in Monterrey, Mexico. His projects employ landscape and portraiture as a means to examine social, urban, and environmental issues. In his practice, he also uses book publishing and archives of discarded photographs as a way to explore new visual storytelling that address issues of photographic representation. He is also the co-founder of Fellowship , an online gallery championing artists at the forefront of photography, AI, and video. Through Fellowship, Cartagena bridges traditional photographic practices with cutting-edge technologies, showcasing how AI and digital tools can expand creative possibilities for artists.
