Stephanie Dinkins is a transmedia artist who creates platforms for dialog about race, gender, aging, and our future histories. Dinkins’ art practice employs emerging technologies, documentary practices, and social collaboration toward equity and community sovereignty. She is driven to work with communities of color to co-create more equitable, values-grounded social and technological ecosystems. Dinkins exhibits internationally. She is the inaugural recipient of the LG Guggenheim Award for artists working at the intersection of art and technology and a Schmidt AI2050 Senior Fellow. Her art practice has been generously supported by United States Artists, Knight Foundation, Creative Capital, Creative Time, Onassis Foundation, Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence, Open Society Foundation, Eyebeam, Pioneer Works, NEW INC, Laundromat Project, Santa Fe Art Institute, and Art Omi.
